In the heart of the savanna, a fierce wildfire raged,
leaving behind a trail of destruction. Amidst the chaos, a young lion cub
became separated from his family. Lost and vulnerable, he wandered the scorched
land until a kind mother goat found him. Moved by compassion, she took him in
and raised him as her own among her kids.
The cub grew up happily, living as the goats did. He grazed
on grass, bleated like them, and frolicked across the meadows. Never knowing
any other life, he believed he was just another goat and lived contentedly.
But one day, as the herd grazed under the golden sun, the
roar of a lion thundered across the plains. The sound was powerful and
commanding, echoing through the cub’s very being. Something stirred deep within
him—something wild and unfamiliar yet strangely comforting.
Before he could think, the young lion opened his mouth and
roared. It wasn’t a bleat or a cry, but a mighty, primal roar. The goats froze
in terror. In that moment, they realized their adopted companion was not one of
them but a lion—a creature of power and dominion.
Fear seized the herd, and they scattered in every direction,
fleeing for their lives. The young lion stood alone, startled by the sound he
had made but also awakened to a profound truth: he was not a goat. He was a
lion, the king of the wild.
From that moment, he embraced his true nature and began to
live as he was meant to—not as one of the herd, but as a lion with strength,
authority, and purpose.
A Lesson for Us All
This story is more than just a tale—it’s a powerful metaphor
for our lives. Many of us, like the young lion, have forgotten who we truly
are. We’ve been shaped by the world around us, conditioned to live small, safe
lives, and convinced that we’re no different from those around us.
But here’s the truth:
- Goats
give birth to goat kids, and lions to lion cubs.
- If
you are a child of the Most High God, you too are counted as royalty.
The Bible declares in 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a
chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession,
that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His
wonderful light.”
You are not meant to live like the herd. You are not meant
to graze on the scraps of life or bleat in fear at every challenge. You are a
lion—a child of the King of kings, endowed with strength, authority, and divine
purpose.
Awaken to Your True Identity
Just as the young lion’s roar awakened him to his true
nature, God’s Word has the power to awaken you to yours. It’s time to:
- Recognize
Your Identity: You are not defined by your past, your circumstances,
or the opinions of others. You are a child of God, created in His image
and destined for greatness.
- Embrace
Your Authority: As a believer, you have been given authority over
every force of darkness (Luke 10:19). Stop living like a victim and start
walking in victory.
- Live
with Purpose: You were not created to blend in with the crowd. You
were created to stand out, to lead, and to make a difference in the world.
Rise Up and Roar
The world needs your roar. It needs your courage, your
faith, and your unwavering belief in who God has called you to be. Don’t let
fear, doubt, or the expectations of others keep you from stepping into your
true identity.
Today, awaken to the divine truth:
- You
are not a goat.
- You
are a lion.
- You
are a child of the Most High God.
Rise up, embrace your identity, and walk victoriously in
the purpose God has for you.
